Good Morning Sistahs!
I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day!! I know I sure did. My son and I went to a fabulous Vietnamese restaurant for lunch and had so much fun together. That boy sure knows how to make me laugh. *giggle
Now...on with the card! It seems like forever since I've played along with Taylor's Challenge, so I decided I was going to play along for this week's Kitchen Sink project. This also happens to be another one of those cards that'll keep you guessing about which Kitchen Sink set I decided to use. Did you guess Pretty Petals? Well if you did, you're so right! I kept looking at this set, trying to figure out another fun way to use it, and this is what I came up with. What do you think?
I started with petal outline stamp, then drew my own "fins". The "flames" are also from the Pretty Petals set, with both flourishes stamped in red at the bottom to make it look like it's taking off. Once the flames were stamped, I colored them in with my Copics. The window came from the Playful Frames and Journaling set and seemed like the perfect fit. And what card is finished without some Glossy Accents? So I added some to the flames and most of the rocket ship. Do ya see it?
Now for some fun news! Maria-the ever so kind owner of Kitchen Sink Stamps-has decided to allow us to reward our loyal blog followers with a 10% discount code to be used in the Kitchen Sink Store! Is that awesome or what?!? So, in order to receive the discount, you just have to enter:
ANGELA10KSS
(all CAPS no spaces)
when you check-out. (I've also added it to my sidebar so you won't forget it.)
The good news is...you can use it for every order, and it doesn't expire! How sweet is that? In addition, I'm offering two Memento Dew Drops to the first person who places an order using my code. All you have to do is e-mail me with your order number and tell me which two colors you'd like, and I'll have them added to your order. Easy Peasy! Check out all the other fantastic projects created by the amazing Kitchen Crew:
Don't forget that you can still Run With Scissors and upload your post to the Kitchen Sink Blog for a chance to win some cool prizes! The deadline to enter is Friday May 22nd, and the winners will all be chosen at random. What are you waiting for? Run...with your scissors. (But be careful *wink)
I hope everyone has a super fun Monday!
