Good Morning Sistahs!
Holy Smokes Batman, has it been one heck of a weekend! My son, (who we affectionately call "The Boy",) decided he wanted to run a fever of 105. Yes 105! I thought the thermometer was broken, but I took my own temp and when it said I was "normal", I freaked out and rushed him to the ER. Yikes!! Then of course with all this swine flu business, they ended up swabbing him to make sure he didn't have it, and thank goodness he didn't. We're still recuperating from the lack of sleep because of his medication regimen, and we're crossing our fingers that today is the day his fever finally breaks. Okay...enough of the weekend...on with the Crew Challenge!
Here's Connie's Challenge:
Running With Scissors!
"Didn't your mom ever tell you NOT to run with scissors?" Well for this challenge I am saying it is okay!! Okay...maybe not to actually physically run with scissors, instead, let's let our scissors do some running! This week's challenge is to have at least one cut image on your card...it does not have to be the focal image, and you can cut one thing or many...that is up to you...but make sure to let your scissors do some running.
Okay sistahs, this is where the fun comes in for me! As soon as I read Connie's Challenge I called Maria and asked if I could incorporate this week's Crew Challenge into the Project of the Month. Maria thought it was a great idea, so here I am presenting my very first POM! (What a dork I am huh?)
I have been wanting to incorporate my stamping with a simple "Calling Card." So here we go...
You'll need these supplies:
*I used way more stamps than I'm showing here, but you get the idea right?!?
First, I printed my name, e-mail, website and phone number in several different fonts, in several different directions on the business cards. (Mostly because I'm so indecisive about these things. *giggle) Then I separated them along the perforated edges and got to stamping.
This is a close up of one of the cards before I let my scissors do some running!
Isn't this super cute?! If you're not into "fussy cutting" you could totally stop right here and have a gorgeous Calling Card, but why stop here? I mean really.
Take a look at what happens when you run with scissors!
or...
or...
and...
finally...
Wasn't that fun? Didn't you hear yourself saying, "Hey, I can do that!" Well sistahs, here's your chance, let your imagination run with your scissors. *giggle Don't forget to upload to the Kitchen Sink Blog once you've finished your masterpiece!
Okay, I've hoarded your attention long enough, now go check out what the rest of the crew has created for your viewing pleasure!
Here's to another fun and exciting week in the Kitchen!
