Good Morning Sistahs!
It's that time again! Yep, it's time for the Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge! This month's hostess with the mostess is our very own Lynn. <insert cheers and applause> I'm so excited because she has set up a super fun challenge for us.
The challenge, should you choose to accept it is:
Going Green! (and she doesn't mean Certainly Celery or Kiwi Kiss. *wink)
Here's to becoming a better citizen of Planet Earth! What better time than now to look for opportunities to Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle?
Lynn wants you to take some previously used NON-STAMPING item that is headed for the trash can and turn it into a component in your Kitchen Sink Project either as a layer or embellishment of some sort. Trash to Treasure so to speak!
For my recycled item, I used one of the many fliers you get in the mail advertising local eateries. I also decided I wasn't going to cut any more paper, instead I wanted to use scraps and pre-cut pieces. So, I used my punches to create the peas & carrots from scraps left over from a card I made yesterday. The "mashed potatoes" were made out of Q-tips and the turkey (from 3-Step Turkey Trot) was stamped on the back of an image that didn't quite come out right the first time. I made a plate by using two pre-cut circles, then embossing the smaller one inside the larger one to give the appearance of a dinner plate. Whew....
Now, be sure to blop on over to see what the rest of the Crew saved from the landfill. And once you're done visiting, make sure you play along and upload your creation to the Kitchen Sink Blog. This month's deadline is June 19th. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on the fabulous prizes up for grabs.
Thanks for stoppin' by, I can't wait to see what you all come up with.
Inky Hugs and Happy Stampin'

I knew you would create something unique and delightful, Angela!! I'm going to have to actually look through those junky flyers before tossing them out if I am missing treasures like this!!
