Good Morning Sistahs!
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood! Don't you just love Mondays? I know I do. *giggle So I hafta share with you all, that I'm in a little bit of denial. Yep, I just can't accept the fact that my baby boy is a Senior in High School. Am I even old enough to have a Senior? Which, BTW, I am told needs to be written like this: SEN10RS. (Since he's the class of 2010.) Is there anyone else in denial with me? I think I need a support group or something. *wink
Okay, sorry, enough of that....on with the show.
Many of you probably know Julie, she always does some fabulous things with Kraft Cardstock, and I'm continuously in awe of her work. So this week, I decided I would try creating a single layer card using some Kraft. Here's what I came up with:
What do you think? Here's what I did; I took the first step from each image and stamped it in PTI's Frost White. After that, I added colors with each of the remaining steps to add the depth you see on the tulip. (Multi-step Tulip Garden) I'm kinda diggin' the subtle way the colors came out, nothing too bold or striking, just a bit of muted beauty.
After I stamped the tulip, I took my Scor-pal and scored along the edge of the card, stopping before I reached the flower. Then I stamped my sentiment, and decided I felt like it was missing something. So I decided to add a little piercing to the corners. Voila, a soft sympathy card is born. I thankfully don't need it right now, but figure it's probably better to have one on hand just in case.
Now it's time to blop on over and check out the beautiful creations the rest of the Crew has made for you.

No, you absolutely are not old enough!! I think this high school sen10r must have sneaked into your house in the dark of night! He's not yours!

I really like the way the tulip turned out with the white ink as the base. It is sweet and understated enough to show that you care without being overbearing.
