Good Morning Sistahs!

Happy Hump Day to you!  Now that the Bombshells are hoppin', I find I'm loving Wednesdays a heck of a lot more than I used to. *giggle  

This week, we have a super fun challenge:

Pencil Me In

Coloring with markers is fun, but....what about those pencils you have lying around? It's time to pull them off the shelf and show them a little love! Pencils and OMS, watercolor pencils, pencil + marker, graphite....as long as it includes pencil you're good to go.

Here's my take on the challenge:

I used plain ol' Prismacolor Pencils to color up the main image from the Cherry Bomb set.  Isn't she awesome?  I've been coloring with my Copics so much lately, that I totally forgot how fun pencils are.

Happy Anniversary Kitchen Sink!

The Greeting Farm Friday

Good Morning Sistahs!

It's another Fabulous Friday and I have some fun cards to share with you.  However, neither of these cards is mine.  *GASP  I know...but I'm about ready to fall over because I have a Physics test today, and I didn't have time to get anything ready for you.  So instead, I'm going to show off what a few of my favorite gals have created...

This first card is Raven's.  She does such an amazing job, and I'm so proud of her.  She's one of the girls from my very first Stamp Club and she makes such gorgeous cards.  She's 12 and absolutely LOVES coloring with Copics.  Here's her Superstar Anya card:

This next card is Amanda's.  She's one of my son's friends and she loves coming over to craft with me.  She actually made this card a while ago with the Fly Away set:

Amanda created the warm evening sky by using the baby wipe technique.  She added glitter to the clouds and Glossy Accents to the balloon. Too cute right?

Bombshell Hump Day Hop Round 3

Good Morning Sistahs!

Happy Hump Day!  I absolutely love spendin' Wednesdays with my Bombshells.  So much fun and inspiration to be shared.  We are going to have a special challenge each week, and today's challenge is one of my favorites!  

DIAMONDS ARE A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND

It's time to pull out your bling, glitter, and anything else that sparkles and shines. Bombshell stamps are perfect for adding a little glitz and glamor to your project. Now is NOT the time to be frugal...really make your project sparkle!

Here's my take on the challenge using the Sugar Daddy set:

I love that the wolf's pimp suit is blinged out!  Sparkles everywhere!  And I do mean EVERYWHERE! I don't think there's the tiniest bit of table that hasn't been infested with glitter. *giggle

I ended up coloring him with my Copics, then went over him with some Holographic Glitter to give him a little extra umph.  Since the Sugar Daddy stamp that comes with the set was small, I decided to write the words instead using my Signo white gel pen.

Kitchen Sink Monday!

Good Morning Sistahs!

As I was creating my project for today's post, I had the Monday Monday song stuck in my head. *giggle  I just kept singing it over and over thinking that I would eventually get over singing the same few verses.  But nooooooooooo, I just kept right on going.

Oh Monday Morning, gave me no warning, if what was to be....

Now, on with the show.  I'm sure you're probably sick of hearing about my friends all having babies, but I think they're definitely still in season. *wink I recently received a birth announcement from a friend who lives in New York.  How sweet is that?  Well, I need to get a card out to them ASAP, so I decided to create a little something for this precious little guy, so here you go...

I have had this Basic Grey paper for the longest time, and I'm so glad I'm finally putting it to good use.  I love the little bikes and think it's a great match for the shoes. (I just can't seem to get enough of those sweetie little shoes from the Multi Step Baby set.)  Awwwwwww.

The Greeting Farm Friday

Good Morning Sistahs!

TGIF! I can't believe another Friday is here.  Woo Hoo!  I have had this image of Reeta colored for a while, and figured it was about time I put her on a card.

What do you think Sistahs?

I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I made her for my cousin who absolutely LOVES cats.  Originally I wanted it to be a birthday card, but since her birthday is long gone, I figure I could just send her a note of love.

Bombshell Hump Day Hop Round 2

Good Morning Sistahs!

I'm so excited for this, our second installation of the Bombshell Hump Day Hop!  Woo Hoo!  Don't forget...there's still time to play with Ms. September's Challenge.  I absolutely LOVED seeing everyone's movie inspired cards last week.  This week, we've decided to let ourselves run wild and make Bombshell creations of every type.  I can assure you, you are not going to be disappointed in the least with what we've created for you!  

Here's my project to start you off:

My stampin' sistah Nicole sent me these awesome luggage tags in a goodie package many moons ago.  Well I figure it's about time I put her gift to use and create a fun tag that is sure to get your attention on any luggage carousel.  

The Hawaiian Girl was one of my very first Bombshell sets, I absolutely LOVE her! I also decided to use my brand new Copic Airbrush system to create the sand, water and sky.  It didn't quite turn out like I envisioned it, but I still think it's pretty.  And....what good is an ocean in paradise if it's not sparkling?  So I added glittah to the water behind my Hawaiian beauty.

A Very Special Kitchen Sink Monday

Good Morning Sistahs!

 Happy Kitchen Sink Monday! Not only is it Kitchen Sink Monday, but it's also Lynn's Birthday!  How fabulously awesome is that? Lynn is such an amazingly talented stamper and we just so happened to join the Kitchen Sink Crew at the same time.  So, we're Sink Sistahs!  *giggle  Well, how could I not create a card for her?  I mean really.  So here's what I came up with, JUST FOR YOU LYNN!

The 3-Step Hey Chick! set is one of my all-time favorite sets and doesn't that DP just scream party?  I also used the new Big & Bold Swatches on the background paper.  I had so much fun creating this card.  (Really I'm just trying to enable her as much as she enables me. *wink)

Bombshell Hump Day Hop!

As promised, I have a Bombshell card to share with you today, (and every Wednesday!)  We are kicking of the month with our Guest Designer's Challenge.  Please welcome Ms. September: Sarah K.  (Applause, Applause, Applause)

Her challenge was for us to make a card inspired by a movie.  Well, OF COURSE I had to put my thinkin' cap on, and finally decided on this chick flick:

I mean, who doesn't love this one?  *giggle  So I decided to ink up Butterfly Queen and set her up with Mr. Gere.  Mmmmmm......Oh sorry, couldn't help myself.....here's my card:

 

What do you think?  I colored her in with my Copics and added some rhinestones and glitter to her outfit to give her just a little more umph.  I also added my FAVORITE Glossy Accents to her shoes and her lips.  I cut out the title using my Abigail font from QuicKutz.  I printed Mr. Gere...mmmmm....out from my computer and just colored his face in to give him a little life. *giggle  They're both on pop dots above my ever so subtle embossed panel.  (I got this new embossing folder the other day and I just couldn't wait to use it.  Yay me for actually using a new supply!)

Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge with Makiko

Good Morning Sistahs!

It's the first Monday of September, and you know what that means....it's time for the KITCHEN SINK CREW CHALLENGE.  This month's host is our very own Makiko! Woo Hoo! (*Insert much applause)

Here's Makiko's challenge:

Use school supplies or items to make a card or project.  You can alter an item too!  Extra apple points for a school themed card.

Well, if you know me...then you know that I'm always shooting for extra apple points.  *giggle  So here's my card to share with you:

I was hoping to have it look like the "Welcome Back!" was written on a chalkboard, so I looked up and down for my Signo White Gel Pen...could I find it?  No of course not.  So what did I use?  My Versamark pen and white embossing powder.

Next, I stamped the Apple from 3-Step School Days, and decided I wanted to put something in the upper left hand corner.  What better than eraser tips?  Don't they look fun?  The last step was to add the pencil across the bottom.  Voila, my card is ready and good to go.  *giggle
