Good Morning Sistahs!
I'm in Phoenix for the holidays spending some time with my Mom and Papa Eddie. Last week I shared that our favorite part of the holidays is wrapping presents, and I made some gift tags for my mom. Well, this week I'm so excited to show you what I did to present them to her, and then a few photos of the tags in action.
Last week I was snooping around Archiver's and I found a sliding mint tin in the Hot Spot. I just knew it would be the perfect home for the tags I made for my mom. When I got home, I decided to pull out my alcohol inks and alter the tin. Next, I added some satin ribbon, and finally added a poinsettia (from the 3-Step Poinsettia set) for an extra special finishing touch.
Here's what it looks like open:
Remember me saying that my instincts wanted me to add ribbon, but I didn't want it to clash with the ribbons my mom adds to the gifts? Well, this year she decided that the tags were, "So Beautiful," that she didn't want to add ANYTHING to the gifts because the tags were "perfect." *giggle I KNEW I should have added ribbon. *doh But wait, it gets better. Then she decided that she now has to SAVE all the tags because they can be used next year for everyone's gifts. So after we all finished exchanging and unwrapping gifts, my mother decided she needed to pull all the tags off the wrapping paper to save for next year. Is she not the cutest?
Here are a few of the gift tags in action...sans bows.
