Good Morning Sistahs!
Summer is in full swing and I couldn't wait to jump on board...(finally!) I have been hanging out in the sweltering heat wishing I were with my cousin in Hawaii. So, what better way to celebrate Hawaii than with a hula girl and an ALOOOOOHA!
The papers on this card are Bazzill Papaya and Adobe, and the patterned paper is from K & Co. For the inks, I used Memento Dew Drops and inked up the image using two colors each time so I wouldn't have to stamp and fussy cut to get a green skirt. Here's what I did: Step 1 - Cantaloupe & Pear Tart, Step 2 - Cantaloupe & Pear Tart, Step 3 - Cantaloupe & Bamboo Leaves, Step 4 - Tangelo & Cottage Ivy. In order to make it easier, (and waste little ink,) I inked the top half of the hula girl first, then applied the green to the skirt, and finally added the ink to the bottom part of the girl, (an orange & green sandwich if you will.) *giggle
The flowers are actually a softer orange, but look pretty harsh in this photo...(note to self: buy new camera.) I added a few touches of Spica Glitter pen to the mix and punched out the "Aloha."
Now it's your turn to check out what the rest of the amazing crew has in store for you today
