What a happy Monday it is!

Good Morning Sistahs!

I apologize for my tardy post, but I wanted to let you know about all the exciting things going on in my life right now!  This past Friday I finally finished my coursework for my Bachelors Degree!  Woo Hoo!  I have been working part-time and going to school full-time for the past 4 years so that I may become a certified teacher. I never thought I'd make it here, and finally my time has come.  

So....today's post is a quick snapshot of the cards I made for the people in my cohort.  We started as a mighty 50 and we are graduating as the Sweet Sixteen!

I used the 3 Step Graduation set to create these 3x3 cards using our school colors; Blue & Gold. Step 1 - Night of Navy (stamped off), Step 2 - Night of Navy (stamped off), Step 3 - Night of Navy.  For the cord: Step 1 - Summer Sun, Step 2 - More Mustard.

For the letters I used 1/2 Pint Playful Alphabet Buddy and stamped UNC (University of Northern Colorado) In Night of Navy, and 2011 from the 3 Step Graduation set in More Mustard.

Good Morning Sistahs!

BOY OH BOY has it been quite a week!?!? And when I say BOY oh BOY...I mean it.  My best friend gave birth to her sweet baby boy Patrick last Wednesday.  I had the honor of being her birth coach again, although the last time we did this it was about 14 years ago.  As soon as I get a good photo I'll be sure to post it.

But now...it's time to get to the good stuff.  I again used Connie's sketch challenge FSCC14 to create a card for this week's post and this week's Everything PLUS challenge EP13.

I absolutely HAD to use my 3 Step Honey Bunny because SPRING is here and what better way to show it than with the cutie bunny?  Connie's sketch said she was hoping for a long/tall card, but I didn't have enough of my DP to create anything long, so this card measures 6" by 3".

The recipe used for the Bunny is: Step 1 - Creamy Caramel (Stamped off), Step 2 - Creamy Caramel, Step 3 - Close to Cocoa, Step 4 - Chocolate Chip

The grass recipe is: Step 1 - Certainly Celery, Step 2 - Kiwi Kiss, Step 3 - Garden Green.

Monday in the Kitchen

Good Morning Sistahs!

My name is Angela.....and I stamp out of order. *giggle  

I don't even know where to start about the past week...so I guess I'll start with the fun stuff.  So I took a 13 hour road trip to Arizona to hang out with my mom.  Then, I travelled on to California and hung out at Venice Beach for a few days.  Here's the best part....I got to finally meet Maria!  Yes, the Queen of the Kitchen!  

We had lunch on the beach and talked about stamps and giggled and were so excited to finally meet face to face.  We had to find someone to take our picture because the one we set with the timer came out like a big blur.  

Well, while we were talking, I had to confess to Maria that I have such a hard time stamping out of order.  I think things are supposed to happen in a particular order and stamping out of order is similar to me creating a 10 minute card...awkward. *giggle  But for this week's card, I decided to give it a try again and get a little crazy, and stamp out of order.  And guess what....I rather liked it.

Unfortunately I found myself in need of not 1, not 2, but 3 sympathy cards this week.  URGH.  So I got busy and created a few sympathy cards for my dear friends.  I find I don't usually have sympathy cards on hand, and I supposed it's because I don't ever want to have to use them.  But, they are necessary, so I figure now's a good time to stock up!  (Thanks Lisa!)

Late last night I returned from the blazing Arizona heat to a crazy snowstorm in Colorado.  EEK!  It was zero visibility for about 2 hours, and I'm so happy to be home, safe and sound....well...safe anyway. *giggle
