Good Morning Sistahs!

School is back in session and I'm still trying to get my bearings straight.  It's always hard the first few weeks to get acclimated, but I think the transition is going rather smooth.  I have a wonderful group of kiddos and the partner teacher I work with is just amazing. Ahhhhh.....life is good.

Well, The Greeting Farm has closed their DT call, and YET again I have been rejected.  *Insert sad face with a single tear rolling down the cheek.  So I have decided to share my loser card with you today.  Marie asked for a card with a Circus Theme, and this is what I came up with....

Originally she was going to be the bearded lady, but once I put her on the trapeze bar, I couldn't bring myself to give her a beard. *giggle  I was so excited to use my new Copic Airbrush System too.  I cut out the oval using my Nesties, then airbrushed the spotlights from the corners and then created the audience as if they were looking up at her.  She's a vision in yellow isn't she? *giggle

Good Morning Sistahs!

It's Friday, it's Friday, it's Friday!  Woo Hoo!  I love Fridays, don't you?  Especially when I get to share some of my favorite stamps with you. *giggle  I absolutely LOVE the Nurse Anya image, and I'm so excited that I have finally put her on a card.  (It took me long enough didn't it?) *wink

I was going to put 3 buttons in the corner and add a sentiment to the bottom and call it good, but wouldn't you know that I couldn't find 3 small buttons that matched?  I mean seriously.  So as I was sorting buttons, I realized I had about a bajillion (yes, that's a technical term,) red buttons like the one shown on this card.  Well what's a girl to do but use the buttons to her advantage. *wink I decided they would look fabulous as a background and set to work lining them up.  What do you think sistahs?  You likey?

Good Morning Sistahs!

Yep, we've done it again!  We've made it through another week and here we are celebrating yet another Greeting Farm Friday.  I have to admit that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, so when TGF came out with the Spooktacular set, I was immediately drawn to The Bride of Frankenstein.  *giggle 

I am even more proud of myself, because I actually used some items that I've been hoarding!  Yay me!  I've had this Black Bucket for almost a year now.  I got them from Target last year, they were two for $1.00.  (I love bargains! *giggle)  Anyway, I knew I wanted to make some fun treat baskets, and the Bride fit perfectly!  Eventually I'll put some treats in there, but I think I'll wait until I have my next bucket done.  (Then I'll show you both.)

Finally!!

Good Morning Sistahs!

Can I tell you how absolutely crazy it has been 'round these parts?  Jeez!  It's a sure sign that it's the end of the school year when things start getting this crazy.*wink

Have you ever done this??  You know, have you ever had an image ready to go, but you just couldn't seem to get it on a project?  Well that's what happened to this image.

I have had this Flutter Anya image colored for what seems like FOREVER.  But every time I try to get her on a card, it just never seems to work.  So FINALLY I managed to make her work....or....get her on a card at least.  All with a little help from jen del muro's Sketch For You To Try.

Well?  Waddaya think?

Anya Party Tomorrow

Good Afternoon Sistahs!

It has been quite a busy week, and this is just a reminder to all my Colorado Sistahs that Saturday is The Greeting Farm's release party at Scrapbook Destination!  Woo Hoo!  Finally!  (No snow is predicted for the weekend. Whew!)

So to get you ready for the big day, I wanted to share my Mermaid Anya creation with you:

Isn't she fun?  The make-n-take will look similar to this project, so if you want to play with this image please join me at 4:00 pm at Scrapbook Destination.  Oh, and if you have Copics...please bring them with you! *We just might have some time to do a little Copic mini-class during the crop.  Ya never know!*

Club Anya is HOPPIN'

Good Evening Sistahs!

How incredibly awesome is this?  Club Anya's First Ever Blog HOP and I'm a part of it!  Woo Hoo!  I couldn't go hoppin' without this adorable Easter Anya, so I saved her up especially for the HOP. 

*Sorry for the glare on the card, but I unfortunately have been away from the comfort of my own stampin' space, so I had to improvise.  

Anya was colored with my Copics and then layered on top of some ovals cut out with my Nesties.  This image was SO FUN to color and add glitter and glossy accents to.  (And you know how I LOVE my Glossy Accents!)  It's all layered upon an acetate card base.  What do you think?  Cute?  I made it for a dear friend who delicately asked for an Easter Card...or else! *giggle

Anya is in Da House!

Good Morning Sistahs!

Can you believe it's already Wednesday?  I know I can't!  I have to tell you sistahs....I have fallen in love with the ANYAS!  I know...where have I been?  I actually have loved them for a while now, but I haven't owned any until recently.  Oh sistahs, are they ever fabulous to color!  There is so much more room to color, and they are abso-smurfly adorable.  Me thinks Copics and Anyas were made for each other.

So do you wanna see what I created for my very first Anya project?  I certainly hope so...because here it is!

The sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink's It's A Celebration set and this is my dear friend Teacher Anya.  Isn't she so flippin' cute?  I wanted to create a project as a teacher gift and of course thought this would be PERFECT!  And what project is complete without Glossy Accents?  You can see it on her bright red apple!  

The Card Purse itself was made with the fabulous directions found {here} on Tracy Harp's Blog.  So super easy...you'll want to make a million yourself!

Now...I'm saving the best part for last....are you ready?  Guess who I got to meet!!!  The Queen of The Greeting Farm....Marie!!  She is the sweetest gal a girl could want to know, and her puppins are so cute!  She lives like 15 minutes away from me and I got to hang out with her for a quick minute when I dropped by to pick up some Anyas.  Is that not the best?!?!  I mean seriously!  We have made a pact to hang out and stamp together....soon!  So all my Colorado Sistahs who want to come and play need to stay tuned to my blog for further details.
