Good Morning Sistahs!
Wow! This week just flew right on by! Actually, so did this past year. I can hardly believe I've been blogging for a year. How awesome is that?!
To my surprise, more of my son's girlfriends, (friends that are girls *giggle,) asked if they could come over and stamp with me last night. Who am I to turn down stampin' buddies? Seriously! So OF COURSE I said yes. Well, it happened to be a late night, meaning we didn't get down to business until nearly 11:00 pm. *Yikes At some point we were all freaking out because we were just POSITIVE that Father's Day was tomorrow. So we all scrapped the cutesy card ideas and started making Father's Day cards.
It wasn't until the 5 of us finished our cards, (at about 3:00 am,) that we discovered Father's Day is NEXT weekend. Grrrr. "You mean I could have been stamping girly images?!?! Noooooooooooo!"
Well, this is the card I created for my Father-In-Law, whom I've had the great pleasure of going fishing with. (He totally wears this hat and everything!)
I used Ian from the Rock the Farm set from The Greeting Farm. It's hard to tell, but the front fish is popped up and has a dab of Glossy Accents on him to give him that fresh catch look. *giggle I also put some Glossy Accents on the fishing pole, but it hadn't dried by the time I tried to take this photo. I tried to keep the layout super simple, mostly because it was nearing 4:00 am and I needed to get the girls home, but also because my FIL is not much of a froo-froo guy. He likes fishin' for gosh sakes. *wink The D-A-D came from my never-been-used JustRite Stamp set. I'm definitely going to be pulling this one out more often. Yay! (In case you're wondering, the smallest circle is punched 1".)
This wasn't the card I imagined I'd have prepared for you as I celebrate my Blogaversary, so maybe, just maybe, I'll squeeze a little time to add a few more cards today. (I'm off to play at "Charlie's" with Carisa. (And do I have THE BEST sushi story for you my friends! *giggle)
So here's today's question to be entered to win some awesome blog candy:
Are you an early morning, mid-day (when the kids are napping,) or late night stamper?
I am definitely a late night stamper, the later, the better. I unfortunately can only do that during the summer, so I look forward to summer all year.
I hope everyone's having a super fun weekend. I'll announce the Blogaversary Winner on Monday!
Inky Hugs & Happy Stampin'
