Good Morning Sistahs!

Since it's my blogaversary week, I've decided to give it my all and post a little something for you every day this week.  Sound like a plan?  

Well, today I'm actually going to show off some of the fun and wonderful cards given to me by some super sweet people.

This first card came from Tenia.  Don't cha just love the double ribbon?  She is always so thoughtful to bring a card whenever we get together!

This next one came from my BFF Darsana.  We get together every April 4th for Bonding Day, and this is the creation she made just for me.  Gotta love da Bellas!!

And last, but certainly not least, a super cute card from my sistah Nicole!  I have to tell you what an amazing woman she is!  Not only does she find time to send me goodies, (of which I have more photos to share,) but she is also working on her doctorate!  Hello!  Can I get a "WOW!" up in here?  I'm always in awe of how she does it. *giggle

  

Whew...how's that for some talent?

RAK-A-DOODLE-DOO

Good Morning Sistahs!

Boy has it been a spell?  I have been so incredibly busy this past week, that it just flew right on by.  It has been a week of celebrations and I have loved every minute of it!  I have to announce that it is official....I am the mother of a 17 year old.  (Am I really old enough?)  Seriously!!  Not only was it my baby boy's birthday, but my fabulous mother-in-law's birthday too.  So we had a party at our house on Sunday to celebrate both October Babies.  If you ask me, we get the best of both worlds because they each got a different flavor of cake so everyone was sure to get their favorite kind. After a full week of concerts, rehearsals, and performances I'm ready to get back into the swing of stampin'!!  Woo Hoo!  I have lots to share with you all, but first things first.

Before I post any of the cards I've made recently, I have to share the RAKs I received from two of my bestest stampin' buddies...

This first one I've had a while, and I've finally had a chance to take a picture and post it.  Dars calls these her donkey cards because she uses a brayer.  (She's funny isn't she?)  She has been practicing and practicing so soon she'll be the brayer princess...(me thinks Michelle Zindorf will reign as Queen. You have to go and check out her Night Owl card...it is gorgeous!!  And the best part?  She gives full tutorials!!!)  But I digress....

Here is Dars' "Thankful" card:

Isn't it fun?  I'm going to have to get a photo of some of her latest "donkey" cards, she just keeps getting better and better!

Next up, I have a RAK from the Pheebsters!  She is such a talented stamper and I just can't say enough about her.  I gave her this set a while ago, it was an old retired SU! set and I can't even remember the name of it.  Anyway....she loves toile and did such a fabulous job with the red.  I love the gingham ribbon and the bling brads.  It reminds me of one of those bulletin boards, or a fancy French cushion.

So the story behind this card is that Phoebe mailed it to me, gosh about a month ago and I never received it.  Luckily she had made an extra one for herself and brought it the concert on Thursday to show me.  Well, of course I get home and I'm cleaning the house for the party and what turns up??  This card!!  Yay!  It didn't get lost in the mail, it just got lost in my house!  So here it is, for me to share with you in all its glory.

Isn't this a great way to start the morning?  With a RAK-A-DOODLE-DOO!!!!!

Nothin' Like a RAK...

Good Morning Sistahs!

There's nothing like a RAK to make a girl's day!  I went to my mailbox and what did I see among the junk ads?  This adorable RAK from Carrie.

She used the Papertrey Pond Life set to create this ADORABLE turtle.  I'm assuming she also used her Nestabilities for the circle.  One of my favorite things about Papertrey is that they sell the ribbons that match the papers.  I didn't think I wanted any twill ribbon, but now that I've seen this card, I just might have to *invest* in some.  *wink

My favorite part, (aside from the card itself,) was how Carrie picked me to send her RAK to.  My address was closest to the amount of money she spent on her most recent PTI order.  Is that awesome or what?  She asked if I placed an order this release, but unfortunately I did not.  I'm hoping to be able to afford the Spooky Sweets II set before Halloween though.  

Thanks so much for the RAK Carrie, you truly did make my week.

I've Been RAK'd

Thank you Dannette!

I went to my mailbox, (after finally recuperating from the Bella Ball,) and what did I find? This fabulous card from Dannette. I love how she used the Cuttlebug/pigment ink technique on the background! I'm definitely going to have to try it. And how adorable are her pants? I love to paper piece with the Bellas.

RAKabella and some computer drama.

The nicest thing about checking the mail is when you open the mailbox, find a piece of mail addressed to you, and it's not a bill! I received this sweet RAK in the mail Saturday from Kimberlee. I belong to the Bellaholics Anonymous Yahoo Group and was RAK'd. This is a double fold card (not even sure if that's the technical term for it,) and it opens to her warm sentiment. Thank you SO MUCH Kimberlee, you totally made my day!

Now for the drama. I plugged in my laptop, which I happen to love and cannot live without, and the prong inside the charger cord broke off into my computer! This normally wouldn't be so bad, but I need my computer tomorrow because I'm meeting my Dear Stamping Friend at one of our favorite croppin' places to design her business cards, and I can't charge my flippin' battery! ARGH! So, as much as I'd love to hang out and blog some more, I need to power down and save what little battery I have left for our design fest in the morn'.
