Deconstructed!

Good Morning Sistahs!  

I have been doing my best to try to get a Copic Creation up at least once a week....and today's the day!  I was introduced to the Deconstructed Sketch by a few folks, and since I LOVE sketch challenges, I figured I'd jump on in a play.  

Here's my take on the sketch for Deconstructed Week #12:

I had originally colored this image for the Make It Colourful Challenge: Pleats and Folds, but I never got it together enough to submit it.  I think I missed the window by like 30 minutes.  ARGH!  But I held on to her knowing I would get her on a card soon enough.

I've really been working on my folds lately and I actually like how this one turned out.  The jeans just make me smile. The hoodie didn't turn out quite like I wanted it to, but it'll do. (I am my own worst critic. *grin)

It's always a challenge for me to remember which colors I used, and I know I often wonder which colors someone used to create a look, or hair, or skin tone, so I actually remembered to take a photo of the Copic colors I used.  Yay me!

The image I used is from The Greeting Farm's Creeper Kit and the GROOVY chipboard flourish in the corner came from Make It Crafty's laser cut chipboard...which I won when I entered one of their contests!  Woo Hoo!  These flourishes ROCK!

Birthday Creeper!

Good Morning Sistahs!

I have been coloring and coloring with my Copics like a CRAZY WOMAN.  Unfortunately, I haven't had time to get any of them on a card...until now!  Woo Hoo!  I needed a teenage girl birthday card.  How's that for a toughy?  Especially since she's like me...no flowery-pink-ruffly stuff for her.  So, what better gift than an iTunes gift card and a TGF CC Piper?  

I used jen del muro's SFYTT July for this sketch and I also decided to enter her into iCopic's Weekly Challenge #38 All About Birthdays.  I know...I'm getting a little crazy right?  Two challenges...and an image actually on a card...What's next? *giggle  

It's kinda hard to tell, but I'm working on wrinkles and fold, so you can see them (barely) on her pants.  Oh...so many techniques to master...so little time.

I decided to go old school for today's post and use one of my favorite Anyas: Princess Anya.  I believe she was one of the first Anyas I ever bought, and thought it would be appropriate to celebrate with her.

 

This card is also going to double as my mom's birthday card.  She absolutely LOVES The Greeting Farm images I use on her cards.  What can I say?  The woman has good taste. *giggle

Sunday Afternoon Treat

Good Afternoon Sistahs!

I almost forgot to post this card!  What was I thinking?  I actually made it earlier in the week, but I wanted some seashells for the corner and I didn't get around to getting them until today.  (Go Figure *giggle)  So, without further ado...I present to you...She Sells Sea Shells...

This was created for the continuing celebration of Tuesday Morning Sketches' Anniversary Celebration. (I used Sketch Number 2 and flipped it on its side.) Melissa challenged us to create a fun summer card.  Immediately I thought of my TGF stamps and the Rain Snow Shine Miss Anya set.  Isn't she just the funnest?  I put Glossy Accents on her sunglasses for a little extra umph and spritzed the seashells with some Vanilla Shimmer SMOOCH Spritz.  I also used the Glossy Accents as an adhesive to attach the seashells to the card so they wouldn't fall of.  For the sand I used a simple piece of sandpaper and popped her up on some dimensionals.

The Greeting Farm Friday

Good Morning Sistahs!

I know it's been a while since I've had a Greeting Farm Friday project to share with you...but it is of course a very special card.  My dear friend Carisa is now past her due date with her precious baby boy, and I figured he didn't want to make his appearance until his very own card was posted and ready to go.  I have had this card FOREVER, and when I went to her baby shower, I managed to leave the card at home.  I have been promising to post it, but wanted to wait until The Greeting Farm officially released it for sale.  So here we are...in all it's glory...Oliver from the Oliver & Amelia - Oh Happy Day set.  

 

All the cardstock is Bazzill and I'm SO SORRY I don't know the names of all the colors.  I'll try to be better next time. *giggle.  The DP is something I found at Archiver's and I can't remember who makes it either.  (Wow...I'm really letting you all down today aren't I?)  Sorry.

Well Carisa, now you can have that baby boy!

Doing Double Duty!

I'm pullin' double duty today!  It is SUCH AN HONOR to have Jessica ask me to host Monday Mania over at the Club Anya & Friends Blog.  How flippin' exciting is that?!?!  So, without further ado, I bring you the Monday Mania Challenge:

Yep, you guessed it; it's time for a monochromatic challenge.  Take your favorite image and give it some one-color love.  Feeling Blue?  Tickled Pink?  Makes no difference, just make sure you create a card or project using one color family.  Ready, Set, Go!

I absolutely LOVE the new Cheeky Collection, and how could I not?  I mean, really!  I decided to color the Cheeky Cherry Shooter using Sepia tones.  Isn't she too adorable?

The Greeting Farm Friday

Good Morning Sistahs!

I'm so stinkin' excited that it's finally October! I absolutely love the fall because the air is crisp and it means pumpkin flavored everything is on its way. *giggle  It's also the month of my son's birthday.  I can hardly believe he's going to be 18 in just a few weeks.  Egads!  Not only does October mean autumn, it also means Halloween!  Woo Hoo!

In honor of my favorite time of year, I decided to make a card that I could send to my mummy....errrr...I mean Mommy. *giggle

It's kinda hard to see, but I embossed the little squares and also around the edge of the card.  I LOVE clean and simple cards, they are so fun to create!  Well, before I keep you here too long, you should go check out what the rest of the Greeting Farm Friday girls came up with.

Good Morning Sistahs!

TGIF! I can't believe another Friday is here.  Woo Hoo!  I have had this image of Reeta colored for a while, and figured it was about time I put her on a card.

What do you think Sistahs?

I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I made her for my cousin who absolutely LOVES cats.  Originally I wanted it to be a birthday card, but since her birthday is long gone, I figure I could just send her a note of love.
